Luminator is one of the global leaders in the development and production of digital information and video security systems and lighting solutions for public transit vehicles. The system solutions help operators to cope with increasing networking in information technology, and to cater for their growing information and security needs. Luminator assumes the task of integration of all devices, on-board, in the back office and the cloud including the overall project management and project coordination.

Global resources, local presence

The company, with its head office in Plano, Texas/USA and EMEA headquarters in Ulm/Germany, was founded as a lighting specialist in 1928. Today the Luminator Technology Group employs a workforce of over 1,000 at its facilities in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Poland, Canada, USA, Brazil and Australia. With a comprehensive service network it provides on-site support to customers in more than 85 countries in the implementation of innovative passenger information and video security solutions.

Several innovation and production centers are located in the EMEA region alone, e.g. with a focus on on-board passenger information systems in Raststatt/Germany, stationary displays in Ulm/Germany, video security systems in Neumünster, software development in Oberbüren/Switzerland and destination displays in Herrljunga/Sweden. The European production facility is located in Danzig, Poland.
