Luminator Technology Group’s Mobile Video System Enhances Safety, Intelligence, and Efficiency in Transportation

  • In its first year on the Brazilian market, it is already being implemented by operators in São Paulo and Goiás
  • Product will be exported to the rest of LATAM starting in 2026

Recently launched in the Brazilian market by Luminator Technology Group, the Mobile Video Monitoring System is raising the standards of safety, efficiency, and intelligence in Brazilian urban public transportation. The system includes electronic devices such as MDVR recorders, on-board cameras and monitors, and can be used to oversee both indoor and outdoor environments in buses, trains, stations, and passenger terminals.

“The Mobile Video Monitoring System represents a major evolution for the sector, thanks to its advanced technology and user-friendly operation,” says Rafael Rossi, Commercial Manager at Luminator Brazil. The product is currently being implemented by two fleet operators in São Paulo and Goiás. Starting next year, it will be exported to other Latin American countries.

“Our focus for 2025 is to consolidate the product in the regional market, demonstrating to transport operators the advantages and benefits it offers in terms of safety, operational efficiency, and intelligence. For 2026, we plan to expand into the Latin American markets, thanks to its unique features and wide range of applications,” the executive emphasizes.

This new and advanced monitoring system offers efficiency and safety for operators, allowing real-time control of each vehicle's activities and providing data such as time, geographical location, speed, and other essential information. It also ensures the comfort and reliability that passengers expect and need in their daily commutes.

The Mobile Video Monitoring System includes recorders with 5, 6, 8, and up to 16 channels, internal and external cameras with various IP protection levels, night vision, and up to 4K resolution. The system allows for up to 8 simultaneous views, includes individual audio and on-board monitors, and offers optional features such as passenger counters, ADAS (driver assistance systems), and DMS (fatigue and collision alerts). It may also include GPS antenna, viewing monitors, 4G/5G access, Wi-Fi access, internal HD, SD Card, and other communication interfaces with bus/train equipment.

Easy to install, the system’s components are plug-and-play, and recorder configurations can be replicated across other devices within the same operator's fleet. For enhanced security and reliability, they feature a tamper-proof metal case and storage devices (SD card, SSD, or HD) with anti-theft locking (recordings are only made when the lock is engaged). The connection cables offer high reliability and feature molded connectors for added durability.

Another standout feature of Luminator’s Mobile Video Monitoring System is the media viewing and downloading software, developed to provide users with multiple ways to access recorded data. It offers an intuitive interface and essential tools for operators to retrieve images and videos. Some models also allow downloads via Wi-Fi or 4G.

The system also enables remote image access via mobile phone (for Wi-Fi or 4G models only) and includes functions such as event pre-recording (captures footage prior to the alarm trigger), Alarm Delay (delayed event registration), and Alarm Out (triggers a warning output).
